Apple kicked off its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026 with a keynote packed with major announcements, placing artificial intelligence at the centre of nearly every product update. The headline feature is Siri AI — a complete reimagining of Apple's virtual assistant, powered by Apple Intelligence and designed to understand and act on deeply personal context across your devices.

Siri AI will be available across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 (Golden Gate), watchOS 27, visionOS 27, CarPlay, and even AirPods. It launches initially in English, with more languages to follow. The assistant is device-compatible going back to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 models, and any iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or later.

Notably, Siri AI will not be available on iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 in the EU at launch due to regulatory considerations, though it will be available on macOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27 in European markets.

iOS 27 introduces a redesigned look with a tighter, more refined version of Liquid Glass, a new uniform toolbar across apps, and sidebars that stretch to the screen edges for a cleaner feel. App launch speeds are up to 30 percent faster, AirDrop transfers up to 80 percent faster, and photos appear in your camera roll up to 70 percent more quickly.

Apple Intelligence is now embedded across Safari, Messages, Mail, Shortcuts, and the Home app. A new proofreading tool will work across third-party apps. Parental controls also get a major overhaul with mandatory child accounts for under-13s and more granular screen time controls.
